Chapter 6

Carl and his party arrive at Transfer Station #83 on the Red Line of Floor Four. After examining the transit map and exploring the station, they discover that Mordecai has been transformed into a Grulke toad-creature and is now managing the saferoom. The group opens numerous loot boxes from their previous quest, receiving significant rewards including coupons for personal spaces and upgrades, and they establish a conjoined level-five personal saferoom using their coupons.

The party exits the train at Station #83 and examines the platform and transit system. Carl uses his Escape Plan skill to activate a map showing the Red Line extends from Station 11 to 435, with stairwells only at specific numbered stations and saferooms at all transfer stations. They ascend to find three shops: a guild, a general store run by Limp Richard the Mole Man, and Nirula's saferoom restaurant managed by the transformed Mordecai, now a Grulke Infantry. Mordecai informs them that the crawler population has dropped to 389,441 due to multiple concurrent quest events across Floor Three, but their survival at level 27-26 exceeds expectations. The group opens their achievement boxes and loot. Carl receives a Platinum box from the AI containing coupons for free upgrades, a Tyrant's necklace granting dexterity and the Talon Strike skill, and a Bang Bro spell tome. Donut receives similar coupons and a new tiara. Katia receives an arm bracer that transforms into a shapeshifting shield. Carl distributes 24 stat points (10 strength, 9 constitution, 5 intelligence) to reach 41 strength. Donut successfully negotiates Wendita the Bopca down from 50,000 to 37,500 gold for a personal space. Using their coupons, Mordecai orchestrates the purchase of three level-three personal spaces conjoined into a level-five shared space, along with an Ultra-Stabilized bed, bathroom upgrades, and a crafting studio, costing an additional 15,000 gold. The party gains access to a conjoined personal saferoom named "The Royal Court of Princess Donut."
