35. Bob – July 2165 – Delta Eridani

Bob and Goku arrive at Alpha Centauri to find evidence of a Brazilian autofactory constructing probes. They execute a coordinated military attack on Medeiros's construction yard, destroying three of four probes and most equipment, though one Brazilian vessel escapes. The two Bobs secure the system and decide to build combat-class clones to defend against potential retaliation.

Bob arrives at Alpha Centauri B running silent with minimal reactor signature. After passive observation identifies a disappointing system with limited planetary formation, his scouts discover wreckage of a USE vessel and autofactory equipment in an asteroid belt, indicating the Brazilian Medeiros attacked and destroyed the initial USE installation. Bob rendezvous with Goku (Heaven-10) at the midway point between Alpha Centauri A and B. Goku reports discovering an active Brazilian autofactory with four probes under construction. The two Bobs execute their planned military strategy: they coast inward at 13% light speed with separated arrival times. Bob attacks first with cannonballs from his rail gun and deploys busters against the construction yard, destroying three probes and most manufacturing equipment. Goku arrives moments later, destroying three of four Brazilian missiles and the fourth probe nearly escapes. Bob launches busters to eliminate the final Brazilian missile. After a fifteen-day deceleration and sweep of the construction yard, they confirm one Brazilian vessel escaped but likely incomplete. Bob and Goku note that Medeiros abandoned a disembodied copy of himself running the yard with no protection. They now control both Alpha Centauri systems and decide to build combat-class clone Bobs to defend against potential Brazilian retaliation, recommending future operations proceed in pairs rather than singly.
