At the landing patch, the protagonist finds a torn mesh mask—similar to protective gear worn while riding dragons—which unsettles them. They discover the Moonplume in the shadows, severely wounded with burned flesh, massive holes through its wings, and deep gashes. The dragon has been left with food and water that remain untouched. As rain begins to fall, the protagonist moves closer and opens up about their own trauma, revealing scars the Moonplume cannot see and admitting they believe they failed their previous Moonplume named Slátra many phases ago. The protagonist experiences a strange sensation of bone-deep coldness that feels like home when touching the dragon's skin. This moment brings a profound realization: they were meant to find each other. The protagonist makes a vow that no one will ever hurt the Moonplume again, experiencing a sense of renewal and restored purpose.
