Chapter 25
Chapter 26: Rhysand
Overview
Feyre discovers that Polina's family has gifted her the abandoned studio as a Solstice present. Rather than being upset about receiving a gift she couldn't buy, Feyre is moved by the suggestion to donate her intended payment to the Brush and Chisel, a charity supporting artists in need, and proposes a business partnership with Ressina to run the studio together.
Summary
Two days after a previous event, Feyre arrives at Polina's former studio to find it fully restored and cleaned. She encounters Ressina, who greets her with Solstice wishes. Feyre reveals that she has received a brass key and the deed to the studio from Polina's family that morning. She had winnowed to their farm, where they surprised her by gifting her the property outright and refusing her offer of payment. Polina's sister suggested Feyre donate the money instead to the Brush and Chisel, a charitable organization that provides financial assistance to artists and their families for food, rent, and clothing. This revelation moves Feyre deeply, recalling her own years of hunger and scarcity in the cottage. She reflects on the Suriel's instruction to leave the world better than she found it. Standing before the empty, waiting studio space, Feyre asks Ressina if she would consider becoming her business partner to run the studio together.
