Feyre strolls through the Rainbow, Velaris's artistic quarter, noting the contrast between the bustling snow-covered streets and the lingering scars of Hybern's destruction. While observing a ruined building, she meets Ressina, a pale green-skinned faerie artist who defended her studio during the attack. Ressina reveals that the residents of the destroyed buildings escaped safely and offers Feyre both friendship and an invitation to join a weekly painting group at her studio, emphasizing that the faerie community remembers Feyre's sacrifice in fighting for them. Ressina tells Feyre, "The things that need telling" when asked what they paint. Later, Feyre shops with Mor at the Palace of Thread and Jewels, where they select a sapphire piece for Amren's Solstice gift.
