Chapter 19
Chapter 19
Overview
Carl and Donut clear a section of the dungeon filled with small, explosive rot sticker creatures and reach a safe room. After taking time to process the moral weight of killing goblin infants in the previous episode, Carl receives multiple achievements related to killing non-combatants and reflects on the dungeon's design while opening their loot boxes.
Summary
Carl and Donut navigate through a neighborhood infested with rot stickers—small, round, level one and two creatures that suicide-bomb by attaching to targets and detonating. Using Iron Skin potions and strategic combat, they manage to clear the area despite the creatures' attempts to inflict the Take Down effect. They discover a safe room resembling a dingy bus station with five cots, bathrooms, and a population counter showing 3,594,517 humans remaining. They receive experience cookies worth 10 points each and plan to rest for six hours before watching the next episode and leaving. Carl receives several combat-related skill upgrades including IED Skill Level 3 and access to a Demolitions Workshop menu. Both Carl and Donut receive Asshole's Boxes containing Desperado Passes (which prevent them from obtaining Vanquisher passes) marked as tattoos—Donut's on her shoulder blade and Carl's on his neck. Donut receives Enchanted Fae Scale Quadruped Crupper armor and a Minion Army tome she cannot yet cast. Carl receives a Determine Value skill potion and additional rings of constitution. While resting, Carl wrestles with guilt over killing the goblin infants, ultimately concluding the dungeon designed the trap and he should not blame himself.
