Carl and Donut descend to the second floor, where they encounter new enemy types including Brindle Grubs, Danger Dingoes, and Mind Horrors. After clearing a path and finding a safe room disguised as a storm shelter, Carl opens his achievement and loot boxes, gaining a significant boost to his Pugilism skill while Donut receives a powerful necromancy spell through a mysterious mailbox system.

Carl and Donut arrive on the second floor with no followers or views yet, as the recap episode hasn't aired. The floor resembles the first but features cinderblock walls and orange-tinted lichen. While mapping the quadrant, they discover a corpse of a Level 2 Brindle Grub killed by Crawler Agatha, indicating her considerable head start. They kill two Brindle Grubs easily, then encounter Danger Dingoes—larger, metallic-painted creatures that Donut instinctively targets with Magic Missiles. After defeating them, Carl deliberately destroys the corpses to prevent them from growing into more dangerous enemies, as Brindle Grubs are scavengers that grow larger as they feed.
