Chapter 46
Chapter 46
Overview
Carl and Donut defeat the kobold boss and the danger dingoes flee the dungeon. They discover a pet reward room with multiple caged creatures and unlock a red-tagged Mongoliensis chick-dinosaur that Donut insists on claiming as a pet, naming him Mongo despite his aggressive and uncooperative nature.
Summary
After the boss fight ends, Carl watches the danger dingoes scatter through the hallways on the neighborhood map before looting the kobold arena. The chamber contains a fighting pit with bones piled against the wall, chairs, and a line of ten cages filled with various monsters. Two achievements unlock revealing this is a pet reward room where only one creature can be claimed. Donut spots the last cage containing a small, ugly pink-feathered Mongoliensis and demands the key. Carl reluctantly gives it to her. When he opens the cage, Mongo attacks both of them. Carl holds the creature while Donut feeds it pet biscuits, but Mongo's dot remains red, indicating it hasn't bonded. The creature bites Donut's nose and continues snapping at her. Carl examines Mongo's stats and learns that Mongoliensis are naturally aggressive, refuse to be tamed, and will attack any mobs on sight, making bonding with one extremely difficult. Donut remains confident they'll become best friends despite Mongo's hostile behavior.
