Chapter 33

After defeating the frog boss in the castle's throne room, Carl and his team secure a costly victory. Signet's assault team has liberated the castle and defeated the Confederacy, but significant losses have been suffered, including two named allies. A new threat emerges when evidence suggests a dinosaur named Big Tina has been attacking the towns, and the quest now pivots toward an even greater challenge: Queen Imogen of the high elves.

The chapter opens with Carl receiving a failed quest notification after accidentally triggering the boss fight before a formal quest could be issued. Samantha was swallowed by the frog creature, forcing Carl to kill it prematurely. The victory is bittersweet: Clint and Miss Nadine, a caretaker figure to Holger and other creatures, are confirmed dead. Holger grieves deeply while Areson comments on Miss Nadine's warrior's death. Carl sends Samantha on a reconnaissance mission across the river while he disarms traps on the slope, training his Find Traps skill to level 10. Samantha reports that all the bears on the opposite shore have been killed in a manner consistent with dinosaur attacks, with only footprints and pink feathers remaining—signs pointing to Big Tina, a young but dangerous dinosaur who wears a pink boa and has a history of attacking settlements.
