Chapter 11

Carl and his party travel to the base via Party Planner, discovering that Rosetta Thag and Tipid—both former crawlers and cookbook authors—have arrived as colonels in the Princess Posse with approximately 50,000 additional veteran crawler reinforcements. The chapter reveals that the opposition has also received reinforcements: roughly 150,000 new mercenary soldiers distributed among the eight other faction teams, complicating the immediate military situation despite Carl's initial joy at the arrival of experienced allies.

Louis departs on Party Planner toward the base with Katia, Bautista, and Samantha, while Ferdinand and Drick remain at the Desperado Club. The group travels via the Meadowlark saferoom to access the base. During the journey, Donut notices her garbage truck sponsorship has been canceled due to conflict of interest, and there will be an auction for a new sponsor.

Upon entering the Meadowlark saferoom, Carl encounters Rosetta Thag and Tipid, both revealed as Crest-race crawlers at level 60 and colonels in the Princess Posse. Rosetta strikes Carl on the forehead as a "self-correcting measure," then requests access to his saferoom, bomber's studio, and four million gold. She also demands the remaining toraline vegetable and tattoo ink from Shi Maria, which Carl provides. She and Donut leave to purchase supplies using Donut's charm.

Tipid relates that over 50,000 former crawlers have entered the game to assist against the factions. He explains his post-dungeon life, the Crawler Project led by Dr. Porthus Hu that secured citizenship and protections for released crawlers, and the Open Intellect Pacifist Network aimed at ending the crawl entirely. After a crackdown on these organizations, Dr. Hu proposed refurbishing a garbage freighter into a passenger liner and called for volunteers. All new crawlers, including Tipid and Rosetta, were given the standard mercenary package: level 60, choice of non-permanent race and class, and basic equipment only.

However, the opposing eight faction teams also received reinforcements: approximately 20,000 new mercenary soldiers each (roughly 150,000 total), armed with their existing gear and the Hired Mercenary class. These are distributed evenly across the other teams. Tipid notes that while the new soldiers lack the advantage of choosing race and class, they pose a significant threat, especially coordinated across factions. Despite the complications, Tipid remains optimistic and mentions allies like Justice Light, an eagle skilled in traps.
