Chapter 71

Carl fights through Larracos's defensive towers after triggering them by bombing the zarogoth generator, then races up the Nest Tower to confront Lucia, who is pursuing Donut. With Li Na's help securing a Hell-Kissed Conscription potion and Donut summoning the mythic-ranked card Raul, Carl catches Lucia on the stairs and uses the powerful potion to conscript her.

Carl receives final messages from Toyotomi and Bomo, prompting him to drink a Levitation potion and jump off the railing of Larracos to reach Donut in the Nest Tower. He drops an entire inventory folder of bombs toward the Piccadilly theater, accidentally triggering the city's defense system and destroying the zarogoth soul gem generator. The explosion damages Larracos's infrastructure and activates numerous defensive towers that begin firing indiscriminately. Carl barely escapes the tower attacks by reaching Shanty Town, where he encounters Ferdinand the orange cat. He glimpses the god Harpocrates in the distance, towering over the town. Carl activates "Donkey Kong," a defensive mechanism that turns the Nest Tower's stairs into a ramp and releases rolling barrels to slow Lucia's ascent. Li Na appears with a Hell-Kissed Potion of Conscription she obtained from a fallen war mage, having replaced her own eye with Li Jun's celestial eye. She leaves to use the original potion on Harpocrates. Inside the Nest Tower, Carl hears Lucia in her beautiful woman form calling for her dog Gus while Donut shouts insults and throws barrels. The gale tower continues battering the tower's exterior. Donut summons Raul, her card that has recently ascended to mythic rank with level 110, who tackles Lucia down the ramp. When they collide with Carl at the bottom, Raul immobilizes Lucia and prepares to execute her, but Carl stops him and uses the Hell-Kissed Conscription potion on Lucia instead.
