Chapter 15

Carl's group ambushes a Rolling Battle Formation Ball—a large mob cluster similar to the Ball of Swine from the first floor—in the new expanded map area. After breaking the ball apart, they fight Skank Skunk Warriors, but when their leader (Fancy Boy, a battle wizard) is knocked unconscious, all the skunks unleash a coordinated spray attack that poisons several party members with a three-hour debuff.

Carl, Donut, Chris, Jamal, and three newcomers (Bodi, Griffin, and Morales) stake out a Rolling Battle Formation Ball in the woods near the map's edge. The group discusses the differences between this mob and the original Ball of Swine, and the two young elf recruits display their new unit tattoos ("Princess Posse or Death"), much to Donut's dismay. Jamal continues to break his automaton leg harness by attempting to hop, frustrating Carl, who notes Katia will be unavailable for hours due to rehabilitation treatment. When the rolling ball passes nearby, Carl uses a hob-lobber to damage it, causing it to explode and scatter dozens of Skank Skunk Warriors across the forest. The team quickly dispatches most, but when Donut knocks out Fancy Boy, the skunk battle wizard who was suppressing the group's spray attack, all remaining skunks unleash a coordinated aerosol assault. Carl uses Gloom Wraith Phase to pass through several skunks unharmed, while others escape to trees. Donut, Mongo, Griffin, and Morales are hit with the "Skanked" debuff, causing them to stink and vomit uncontrollably for three hours. Rend grows to beach-ball size and levels to 8 while feeding on the mobs. The group heads to a safe room entrance where workers are building a base. Elle reports she's discovered a "nasty surprise" on the naga side related to accelerated pet leveling.
