Samantha’s Book 7 Recap

Overview

Samantha recaps the events of Book 7 (the Faction Wars floor) to Tipid, who has lost his memory. She describes the competing armies, the appearance of the War Mage Rebellion, various divine interventions, major character deaths and departures, and critical plot developments including Louis breaking up with Juice Box to pursue Samantha, Katia's pregnancy and exile, and the awakening of Scolopendra at the dungeon's depths.

Summary

Samantha, redecorating Carl's room without permission, calls Bucket Boy to help install a chandelier (actually a swing). When Bucket Boy mentions he promised to catch Tipid up on Faction Wars events before Tipid lost his memory, Samantha takes over the explanation. With Tipid and Bigs the sluggalette as her audience, she recounts the ninth floor's events: Carl and Donut's army defeated the NPC army after the War Mage Rebellion killed Stalwart and stole the Gate of the Feral Gods from Elle. Agatha (the shopping cart lady) worked with the war mages but disappeared. During the chaos, Meatus (a god-like creature) fought Eris and another god; Donut transformed them into a ball and pushed them through a Li Na chain, killing Meatus and Yarilo while damaging Li Na's healing abilities. Li Jun died as a result. Lucia's remaining doggy nearly killed Mongo before dying itself. Samantha discovered her apparent mother Theia was actually a skyfowl dude in disguise. Louis was infected with a Dream warlord; Samantha saved him by giving her body to house the threat, making him her cousin. Kiwi and Mongo had babies who will not be seen until the twelfth floor. Most significantly, Louis broke up with Juice Box to pursue a relationship with Samantha, while Katia became pregnant from Louis's proximity and was sent away to a nunnery. Samantha mentions talking with Emberus, Justice Light breaking the Nothing to release demon ladies who oppose her, and the critical revelation that Scolopendra, the massive centipede at the dungeon's bottom, has awakened.
