The teams form a temporary truce and gather to plan their approach, though chaos erupts when Nico the Tigran becomes irrationally possessive of Penelope the pig.

Summary

Carl's vehicle arrives at a valley checkpoint where two identical level 170 boss monsters named Prison Pocket and Party Foul block the road, each carrying pouches filled with dead joeys and one living upgrade engineer. The boss description reveals they are sad marsupials whose young starved due to endless storms, and their pouch oil is caustic to non-marsupials. The teams on the hill—Genesis and Rapture (womantaurs), a Taurin mercenary, Pontiff, Donut, and others—agree to a temporary truce. Chaos ensues when Nico the Tigran becomes aggressively possessive of Penelope the pig, threatening violence against anyone who approaches her, particularly Donut. The mercenary Taurin discusses strategy while the other team engages Party Foul across the way. When Chiyome throws fire into that boss's pouch, it heals by consuming the captured razor fox ninja inside, fully restoring its health bar and defeating the other team's attack. Donut examines the dead joeys and discovers they died of starvation and have only skin in their inventory—an unusual detail. Carl recognizes this as a clue to defeating the boss.
