Carl enters the safe room and encounters Mordecai, a shadow mimic who appears as a grim reaper but glitches when meeting new races, spouting cryptic prophecies. After Mordecai stabilizes, a sentient spell book called Oozy Form escapes from the mailbox and must be caught, which Carl learns and adds to his arsenal alongside Donut's newly acquired spells and items.

Carl enters the safe room to find Mordecai, a level 50 Moon Reaper-like creature, floating with tea. The creature's hood falls back to reveal a massive flaming eyeball, and he begins speaking in an ominous voice, delivering cryptic prophecies to both Carl and Donut about death, sacrifice, and eternal rage. Donut's need to use the powder room interrupts this episode, causing Mordecai to return to normal and apologize. Mordecai then explains he is actually a shadow mimic, not a true Moon Reaper, and that his form is unstable, causing him to glitch and shapeshift uncontrollably when meeting different races for the first time. Each glitch triggers a cryptic vision specific to whoever he encounters—Bigs heard predictions about drowning in fire, Samantha was made to cry, and Splash Zone was frightened by visions of screaming death. Mordecai dismisses these prophecies as meaningless fear-mongering with no predictive value. The conversation is interrupted when a sentient spell book called Oozy Form escapes from the mailbox, scurrying across the room while oozing slime. The cleaner bot captures it, and Carl learns it from the book. Donut reveals her recent acquisitions from her Assassin of Sekhmet class, including a Smoke Form spell, a Healer's Grasp aura, and the ability to buff her nature and summoning spells. She also mentions having two celestial boxes unopened and new achievements to explore.
