5.Bushwhacked

Bob and his Camelot hunting party are ambushed by Fred's Caerleon gang while returning with a kill, but Bob has anticipated the attack and positioned additional hunters in hiding. Bob intimidates Fred's group through displays of superior combat ability and threats of future retaliation, then disarms and dismisses them with a warning.

Bob's hunting party returns to Camelot with a slaughtered pigoid carcass while being covertly observed by Fred's larger Caerleon gang (twelve to six). Bob secretly monitors the situation through his heads-up display but maintains an oblivious facade with his crew. Fred's gang ambushes them as they march, with Fred taunting Bob about lacking Donald's protection and inviting a fight. Bob reveals he has secretly positioned eighteen additional hunters from Camelot in the surrounding bushes, including Donald, and they surround Fred's gang. When the Caerleon fighters attempt to resist or flee, they are herded together with spear tips. Bob confronts Fred directly, warning that he will pursue personal vengeance if the gang continues harassing Camelot hunting parties, emphasizing his supernatural memory and patience. Fred dismisses the threat, so Bob demonstrates his superior combat capabilities by striking him down with computer-speed reflexes—the same tactic he used in their previous encounter. With Fred incapacitated and his followers intimidated, Bob orders the collection of all spears and sends the Caerleon gang away disarmed and humiliated. As Bob and his crew march back to Camelot with Donald beside him, Donald expresses admiration for the tactic but doubt about its lasting effect. Bob privately acknowledges Donald's skepticism, uncertain whether intimidation alone will truly deter Fred from future confrontations.
