Bob bids farewell to Eden after Archimedes' death. He places a final memento—a concealed drone—in Archimedes' grave, attends the funeral among the Delta colony, and departs the settlement, leaving the Deltans to build their future independently.

Bob discovers Archimedes dead in the morning, unable to wake him. Archimedes' funeral is attended by nearly all the Deltan population, reflecting his profound impact on the colony. After the family begins filling the grave, Bob requests time alone and secretly places a small camouflaged drone equipped with a Casimir power supply into Archimedes' embrace as a final memento—acknowledging it as both meaningful and illogical. Once the grave is sealed with stone slabs, Bob joins Belinda and Buster in Archimedes' tent. When Buster offers Bob Archimedes' possessions, Bob declines and announces his departure, revealing to Buster that he is "the Bawbe"—the god-like figure the Deltans revere. Bob assures Buster and Belinda that the colony will thrive without him, and that their descendants will eventually seek out Bob and his people in the distant future. He departs without looking back to a waiting cargo drone.
