At the House of Wind, Feyre hosts an informal dinner with her inner circle, Lucien, and her sister Nesta. The group discusses strategy for the upcoming meeting with the High Lords, and Lucien offers crucial intelligence about what his father and brothers may know regarding Feyre's powers. Rhys hints at another secret meeting that needs to happen soon.

Cassian flies Feyre to the House of Wind, where they discuss the logistics of summoning the High Lords to a meeting in two weeks' time. Feyre recalls the moment Nesta was transformed into a High Fae and notes the volatile power that emerged in her. Cassian admits he cannot stay away from Nesta, haunted by his inability to protect her during the Hybern conflict. At dinner, Nesta surprises everyone by attending in a stunning dark blue gown. Mor attempts to ease tensions by complimenting her dress, and Amren makes cryptic observations about Nesta being similar to herself—both individuals who did not fit the paths forced upon them.
