The chapter opens with Feyre and Mor observing an uncomfortable tea between Lucien and Elain, while Nesta trains with Amren in the dining room to build mental walls. Rhys and Cassian arrive from meeting with Keir's commanders but are warned away by Feyre through their bond. When Lucien attempts to sense Elain through their mating bond, she experiences a strange sensation and becomes lucid enough to speak cryptically of "twin ravens, one white and one black" before retreating into her clouded state.
