Chapter 28

Carl ventures into the Penis Parade, a male strip club within the Desperado Club, to find Damascus Steel, a fellow member of a secret organization. After locating Damascus and following him through a hidden portal, Carl discovers the entrance to the Guild of Suffering, a clandestine society, and receives a cryptic achievement referencing the historical Molly Maguires before entering the guild's main chamber.

Carl enters the Penis Parade strip club, receiving an achievement and 10 gold pieces as tips. The club is filled with buff male dancers performing for drunk female NPCs, including a troll named Author Steve Rowland and an elderly conquistador-themed stripper named Dong Quixote. Carl searches for Damascus Steel, who is identified as a Level 75 Ifrit working as an assistant lead dancer. Damascus has a matching spiderweb elbow tattoo to Carl's own. After Carl mentions mutual friends Donut and Katia, Damascus agrees to speak with him privately. Damascus leads Carl to a row of private cubicles, where they encounter Rosemarie, an elderly dwarf woman, and her pet mole Bernie. Inside the last cubicle, Carl discovers a hidden portal disguised as a door. They pass through into a brick hallway and reach a wooden door carved with a spiderweb pattern. Upon touching the door, Carl receives a lengthy achievement called "The Molly Maguires" that discusses secret societies, labor history, and militant resistance movements, cryptically suggesting Carl is part of a justified organization working outside the system. Damascus urges Carl to enter quickly to maintain his reputation.
